먼저 간 친구 녀석이 그립다. 
몇 년의 시간이 흘렀건만 지금이라도 전화하면 특유의 심드렁한 목소리가 들릴 듯싶다. 
Rod McKuen의 <태양의 계절> 후렴구가 떠오른다.

벨기에 Jacques Brel의 1961년작 <Le Moribond>(The Dying Man)을 1963년에 Rod McKuen이 영어로 개사했다. 

Rod McKuen의 가사는 죽음을 앞둔 이가 친구 Emile에게, 아버지에게, 연인 Francoise에게 차례로 마지막 인사를 담고 있다.
