봄비다 봄비다. 이 비가 그치면 수많은 나무와 풀들이 파릇파릇 생명의 기운을 뻗치며 돋아날게다. 오늘은 Uli Jon Roth의 2003년작 'Metamorphosis Of Vivaldi's Four Seasons' 가운데 봄을 듣는다. 비발디 사계를 연주한 수많은 곡 가운데 가장 역동적이지 않나 싶다. 여담으로 2011년 김세황이 비발디 사계를 연주한 앨범을 내며 세계최초 운운해 풋하고 웃은 기억이 난다. 2024. 3. 26.
아직 안 죽었지 Not Dead Yet 2018년 가장 인상적인 앨범 가운데 하나는 단연 Jason Becker의 'Triumphant Hearts'다. 루게릭병으로 30년 가까이 투병중인 그는 '아직 안 죽었지'(Not Dead Yet)라는 말과 함께 신작을 내놓았다. 꺽이지 않는 그의 음악에 대한 열정과 낙관적인 삶의 자세는 감동이자 큰 용기와 울림을 준다. 오늘은 Uli Jon Roth와 Chris Broderick가 참여한 을 듣는다. Thank you Jason. 2024. 2. 28.
Fly To The Rainbow Uli Jon Roth는 초기 Scorpions의 리드 기타리스트였다. 데뷰작 Lonesome Crow(1972, 1st)를 발표하고 UFO로 떠난 Michael Schemker의 자리를 그가 대신한다. 그리고 'Fly To The Rainbow'(1974, 2nd), 'In Trance'(1975, 3rd), 'Virgin Killer'(1976, 4th), 'Taken By Force'('1977, 5th), 'Tokyo Tapes'(1978, Live) 등 5장의 걸작 앨범을 남기고 Scorpions를 떠난다. 그 후 가 담긴 Lovedrive(1978, 6th)부터 Scorpions는 상업적으로 큰 성공을 거두지만 그 단맛은 그의 몫이 아니었다.
