Motorhead4 올드 패션이지만... 1984년 어느날 Fastway의 를 들었다. 'Led Zeppelin의 추종자'라는 설명에 걸맞게 보컬은 Robert Plant를 빼다 박았다. 그때는 Fastway 기타리스트인 Eddie "Fast" Clarke가 Motörhead 출신인줄 몰랐다. 알았어도 Motörhead가 어떤 밴드인지 몰랐으니 감흥이 있을리가 없었다. 몇 년 후 Metallica가 인기를 얻고 이들에게 영향을 미친 밴드로 Motörhead를 접했다. 펑크와 헤비메탈의 하이브리드로 thrash metal의 원형을 제시했다는 점에서 의미가 컸으나 밴드에 대한 관심보다는 Metallica 부록처럼 인식되었다.
