지금 들어도 반짝반짝 빛난다 1997년 어느날 음반 가게에서 일하는 후배에게 연락이 왔다. 편한 시간에 가게에 들리란다. 무슨 일인가 해서 들렸더니 내가 좋아할 음반이 있어서 챙겨두었단다. 고맙다는 인사를 건네고 CD를 받아 플레이어에 넣었다. 그리고 Vitalij Kuprij(keyboards)와 Greg Howe(guitars, bass) 둘이 펼치는 환상적인 연주에 시간 가는줄 모르고 빠져들었다. 무아지경이란 이럴 때 쓰는 말인 듯싶다. 오늘은 이 앨범에서 을 듣는다.Yngwie Malmsteen의 Rising Force 앨범과 함께 바로크 메탈의 최고작이라 생각된다.어느덧 30년 지난 앨범이지만 지금 들어도 반짝반짝 빛난다. 2024. 11. 13.
바로크 메탈의 걸작 Vitalij Kuprij의 첫번째 솔로작 'High Definition'(1997). Yngwie Malmsteen의 데뷰작 'Rising Force'(1984)와 함께 바로크 메탈의 최고작이다. Vitalij Kuprij의 키보드와 Greg Howe의 기타가 펼치는 연주는 Yngwie Malmsteen과 Johansson 형제가 보여준 협연에 못지 않다.정말 환상적이다.이래서 바로크 메탈을 못 끊는다. 이후 Vitalij Kuprij는 프록메탈밴드인 Artension을 이끌었지만 음악적 완성도는 솔로작에 비해 떨어진다.한강길 자전거 타고 듣기 딱 좋다. 2024. 4. 25.
