US group formed in 1969

Origianl line-up: Leslie West/Felix Pappalardi/Steve Knight (k)/Norman Smart (d) 

One of the most respected heavy sound groups Mountain had short but auspicious career between 1969-1974. Pappalardi has established a reputation as producer and bass guitarist(Cream/producer). In early 1967 Atlantic had enlisted New York group: The Vagrants"(featuring distinctive guitarist) Leslie West...West was recruited along with Keyboard player Steve Knight (from '60s unit "Devil's Anvil"), Canadian drummer Corky Laing...
