* 음악세계/20주년기념특집/아티스트리뷰(93) "Blackmore's Night" 

1945/4/14(Avon/England)태생(리치 블랙모어) 

1968년 "Roundabout"란 이름으로 활동하던 리치 블랙모어-존 로드-이언 페이스-로드 에번스-닉 심퍼는 그룹이름을 "딥 퍼플"로 바꾸고 "Shades Of Deep Purple"을 발표 

70년(In Rock)과 72년(Machine Head)로 레드 제플린과 함께 헤비사운드의 양대산맥으로 군림 

리치 블랙모어는 74년(Stormbribger)를 끝으로 퍼플을 떠나 자신의 그룹(레인보우)을 결성(1975-1984) 10년간 휀더의 제왕으로 군림 

84년 퍼플의 재결성에 참여(Perfect Strangers-House Of Blue Light-Slaves & Masters) 

97년 연인(Candice Night)과 함께 Blackmore's Night 결성
