* 음악세계/기획특집/아티스트리뷰/Al Di Meola (2)

(1954/7/22- )New Jersey태생

어린시절 드럼으로 음악을 시작한 디메올라는 9살때부터 기타렛슨을 받기시작 71년에(17세) 버클리 음악원에 장학생으로 영재입학. (재즈기타와 편곡공부) 재학중 Barry Miles Fusion Group에 가입 

프로데뷔 이후 Chick Corea의 RTF(Return To Forever)에 스카웃 스타덤에 오른다. 

76년 CBS그룹과 전속계약을 맺고 솔로데뷔앨범을 발표(22세) 전대미문의 테크닉을 보여주는데... 이후 장르를 초월한 G-3(Live)Al Di Meola-John McLaughlin-Paco De Lucia를 결성 80-83-96 세차례에 걸쳐 Live와 Studiod 앨범을 발표 기타마니아들을 사로잡은 바 있다.
