1939/9/23-1988/8/14(age 48) 

비운의 기타리스트 로이 뷰캐넌은 아칸소(오자크 마운틴)에서 태어나 캘리포니아(Pixley)에서 자랐으며 로이는 천재기타리스트로 불과 15세의 나이에 "데일 호킨즈"그룹에 스카웃 3년간 투어밴드의 일원으로 활동 이후, "로니 호킨즈"의 그룹 "The Hawks"로 옮겨 이스트코스트의 A급세션기타리스트로 활동하다가 70년 솔로로 전향 하였다. 

초절기교의 블루기타리스트라는 극찬을 받았지만 버지니아(Fairfax)에서 48세의 아까운 나이에 스스로 목숨을 끊었다. 목사의 아들로 태어나 크리스천으로서의 최악의 죄라는 자살을 택한 로이는 그의 데뷔곡처럼 "메시아가 재림하지 않아서일까..."
