* 음악세계/앨범가이드/Pink Floyd

UK Group formed 1966

Original line-up; Syd Barrett/Roger Waters/Nick Mason/Rick Wright 

Barrett & Waters attended Cambridge highschool for boys, along with future member David Gilmour. 

Barrett moved to Art College in London.

playing with "Geoff Mott & the Mottos" 

playing with "Hollering Blues" before forming short lived duo with Gilmour.

Waters meanwhile was studying architecture in London and had formed "Sigma 6"with Mason & Wright.

Later dubbed group the pink Floyd sound 

A name said to have been inspired by Georgia 

Bluesman "Pink Anderson" & "Floyd Council" 

Pink Floyd spent late 1966 playing at variety underground haunts including "Marquee" & "UFO" 

manager Pter Jenner & Andrew King contact with EMI recording 1st single "Arnold Layne"
